Maui Wedding – Wailea Golf Club

I’ll let these photos speak for themselves!  This wedding was at the beautiful Wailea Golf Club in Maui.  A great team of wedding vendors,  a memorable day shared, and I was so happy to be part of the magic!

There are a lot of beautiful places to get married, but Hawaii is hard to go wrong.  I love the mix of photos we were able to get on different beaches and the view from the venue with the ocean behind was a treat.  Photography dreams come true, and major inspiration for any love birds planning to get married in Hawaii.

Vendors:
Venue/ Caterer: Gannon’s Restaurant

DJ: Maui Wedding DJ / DJ Del

Holiday Proposal – The Grand America

A Grand Holiday Proposal!! Popping the question celebrates your journey as a couple so far and the exciting step for you beginning a new chapter. No matter which way you plan to propose, I am here to capture the surprise!

This was planned as a “fun evening out” between the couple. Nate told Jing to get dressed up for dinner and some fancy photos at The Grand America (wink wink)! Jing had no idea that Nate had plans to propose. I spoke to Nate and Braelynn in making plans of exactly where I would waiting. As Jing and Nate came around the corner of the courtyard, she discovered this beautiful candlelit staircase, and no one else around. Nate got down on one knee and…. Jing said yes!! I was there to capture it all. A heart melting surprise in an incredible setting. I love being a part of all your meaningful memories!!

3 Reasons to hire a photographer for your proposal?

  1. You can be at ease knowing someone is there to work quickly, not miss a beat, and is comfortable in any setting or lighting condition
  2. Photos to cherish forever!!! These memories add a whole extra component to the surprise. So sweet to look back on and share with your friends and family.
  3. What better way to announce your engagement than your PROPOSAL PHOTOS!? Beautifully captured images showcasing your love and excitement in this exact moment.

Relive the magic! Keep the photos just for yourselves or share with your family and friends. Let your lover know if this is important to you, and they can make a secret plan with a photographer (me!) and a planner if they need extra help with coordinating. Braelynn and I worked to make all the components come together. We decided that these steps were the backdrop to complete the vision.

River Bottoms Ranch – Utah Wedding

They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck!  Well, after the first look.. the rain came, and it poured!  Greg, being a baseball coach, former baseball player, kept saying the storm would pass. How sweet are these two? Cocktail hour was moved before the ceremony and once the rain cleared, the ceremony went on!   It was perfect.  Aren’t the clouds and the color of the sky just gorgeous?  Weddings at River Bottom Ranch are stunning indoor or outdoor.  If you are planning a wedding that is destination or in Utah, this is one of my favorite venues.  Enjoy viewing this happy, lovely wedding day!

Best Winter Shoot Location | Big Cottonwood Family Session

The most beautiful family you ever saw!  Oh and the most beautiful family session too.  A giant snow globe, up in Big Cottonwood Canyon.  One of my favorite winter shoot locations.  The winter in Salt Lake City might be a  little cold, but it sure is magic in these mountains.  Pro tip: bring a little hot chocolate or coffee along to your winter shoot to help you warm up 😉

Family Session – Silver Lake, Brighton Utah

Fall in Utah is so beautiful, especially in the mountains.  I love family sessions that are fun and candid, and these 4 are just adorable.  Family photos can be tough to think about, but you’ll be so glad that you have them once they’re done.  Everyone always thinks they need to wait for the right time, but now is the right time!  Document these sweet moments and stages of your kids.  You’ll never regret it!

See you for yours soon? 😉

Family Studio Session – What to wear – Utah Photographer

If you live in Utah you might be familiar with this babe friend of mine, Meg aka  Mom Strong Utah.  I was lucky enough to photograph her adorable little family!  Not only is she stunning, (and has a stunning family)… she is so motivational, genuine and fun to follow.  She has a new workout app too, so if you’re into fitness, check it out.

The thing I love about studio sessions is how minimal the background is, so all of the focus is completely on the subjects.  This family session turned out to be so sweet, one of my favorites.  Also if you’re confused about what to wear for a family session – this is a great example.  Their outfit choices are adorable – coordinated, but not matchy-matchy.  It’s great to pick a color combination to work with, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to be wearing the same color.  Meg did a perfect job. One thing I love apart from the colors chosen are that the fabrics aren’t all exactly the same!  It adds some fun texture, and none are too distracting!

Enjoy scrolling through these picture perfect moments!

Ashlee
